A key focus of the exhibition program is new technology platforms for autonomous machines. Machine manufacturers will find tested, customizable modular kits ranging from individual technology components and scalable autonomy kits for retrofitting mobile machines to the development and production of complete autonomous systems.
As its second area of expertise, RAFI presents highly functional HMI solutions for robotics and industrial automation. A prime example is the highly ergonomic multitouch panel for injection molding machines that will be presented at the booth. Equipped with a 21.5-inch capacitive display and an innovative pushbutton console, the control system features a dual-swivel mechanism for optimal positioning at the workstation. Another area of focus is on custom, rugged operating and control systems for outdoor use in smart infrastructure, such as charging stations or energy management systems.

At the 2026 VISION trade fair, autoVimation (Hall 10, Booth C50) will present its camera enclosures together with fellow specialized brands from Exaktera. autoVimation has recently moved to Suhl, where it benefits from shared infrastructure with sister brands LUMIMAX and VisioCablePro.
autoVimation enclosures protect cameras and lasers from dirt and moisture while providing effective passive cooling. Active heating and cooling options are also available for more extreme temperature applications. Different enclosure sizes and modular extensions accommodate all common industrial camera models and a wide range of lenses. Window materials are available for all inspection tasks from visible light to hyperspectral imaging and infrared vision as well as for laser light sources.
Live models at the VISION booth demonstrate optical inspection in diverse industrial settings. A food-and-beverage demo features Chameleon and Lizard enclosures. These rugged aluminum enclosures provide at least IP66 protection. The Chameleon series fits right-angled cameras and vision sensors. Lizard enclosures have a removable tube for tool-less access to the lens settings. Lenses with different lengths, including wide-angle lenses, can be mounted directly behind the front window for shading-free image capture.
A hygienic demo includes stainless-steel Dolphin and Piranha enclosures in strict, EHEDG-compliant hygienic design. Rated IP69K, they withstand heavy-duty cleaning cycles. Their smooth, crevice-free surfaces offer no foothold for bacteria, keeping critical food and pharmaceutical processes free from contamination.

Menzel Elektromotoren has built three 400-kW high-voltage motors for centrifugal pumps in a steel mill. The cost-effective standard motors are adapted to the application and rated for ambient temperatures up to 60 °C.full text
German manufacturer Menzel Elektromotoren has supplied three large motors to drive centrifugal pumps in the pump house of a steel mill. The motor windings are insulated to Class H (180 °C), giving ample thermal headroom for ambient temperatures that can briefly reach 60 °C. Cylindrical roller bearings in NU configuration compensate for axial displacement caused by heating and expansion of the motor shaft, ensuring reliable, long-lasting operation without efficiency losses.
The customer required drop-in replacements for older three-phase squirrel-cage motors. Menzel selected compact MEBKGR-type motors for foot-mounting (mounting type IM 1001/IM B3) and built a customized base frame to adapt the shaft height. Rated at 5,000 V and 400 kW, the motors deliver a rated torque of 2,563.8 Nm. They feature IP55 protection and cooling method IC 411 (rib-cooled housing with an external fan).
The MEBKGR series addresses the growing demand for economical high-voltage motors. Key features include a strong price–performance ratio, high efficiency, low operating and maintenance costs, high load capacity, and low vibration levels. Menzel won the contract with a competitive total price, short delivery time, high flexibility and expert customer support.

A Swedish operator urgently needed a replacement for a faulty 2,300 kW mixer motor. Menzel Elektromotoren modified a high-voltage stock motor in just six working days to fit the application – with customized shaft dimensions, a base frame and reinforced roller bearings.full text
Menzel Elektromotoren has customized a high-voltage motor in just six working days. A Swedish customer urgently needed a replacement for a damaged mixer motor.
The application defined the specifications: 2,300 kW output at 6,600 V, a speed of 1,485 rpm and a rated torque of 14,791 Nm. Menzel selected a suitable three-phase squirrel-cage motor from stock and modified it as a drop-in replacement, requiring no changes to the customer’s equipment. The motor manufacturer built a foot adapter and re-machined the shaft diameter to match the customer’s mounting interface and installed heavy-duty roller bearings designed to handle the high loads typical of agitator applications.
The motor for foot mounting (mounting type IM 1001 / IM B3) features IP55 protection and an air-to-water heat exchanger (cooling type IC 81W). It combines high robustness with high efficiency.
Designing its motor series for modularity, Menzel can flexibly configure motors with different cooling and protection ratings as well as mounting options. The company also carries out custom adaptations including special shaft dimensions or electrical reconfigurations at short notice, if required. This way, the German manufacturer minimizes downtime and gets plants back up and running fast.

Time is money – the versatile KES cable entry system from Conta-Clip saves valuable installation time, allowing users to equip control cabinets and enclosures in seconds. Conta-Clip continuously expands its range and has now added round cable entries with a cone for cables and wires without plugs for snap-in or screwing.
KES-R M Konus takes cables with outer diameters from 3 mm to 50 mm and is particularly suitable for applications where the exact cable diameters are not yet defined during design. The cable entries with their distinctive 12 corners are snapped directly from the outside into round, metric cutouts from M25 to M63. They fit in walls between 1.0 mm and 2.5 mm thick and ensure IP54 ingress protection. For larger wall thicknesses up to 11 mm and to achieve superior protection up to IP66, the same entries can be screwed tight with a lock nut.
In practical application, after determining the cable diameter the cable entry is opened with a clean cut so that the diameter marking indicated on the cone step corresponds to the cable to be inserted and remains visible. The silicone-free and halogen-free material mix of TPE and fiberglass-reinforced polyamide 6.6 ensures tightness and stability. The KES-R M Konus series comprises five sizes for metric cutouts from M25 to M63. This allows flexible and reliable sealing of cable diameters from 3 mm to 50 mm.

RAFI is expanding its easy-to-install RAMO product family with new emergency stop buttons. The newly introduced models in the RAMO E series include the RAMO 22 E and RAMO 30 E emergency stop buttons with pull release. RAFI now offers emergency stop actuators up to IPx9K degree of protection on the front side, which are particularly suitable for high-pressure and steam-jet-cleaned applications. A new RAMO E PLUS 1 emergency stop variant is also being added to the portfolio. This emergency stop button has three contacts so that, for example, in addition to two redundant contacts for safety applications, a signaling contact for position detection can also be assigned. The range extension is completed by RAMO E buttons with rotary release. In addition to the tried-and-tested 4- and 5-pole versions, both actuators are now also available as illuminated versions with an 8-pole, A-coded M12 connection. The RAMO E series is designed for 50,000 actuation cycles and meets all applicable ISO and IEC standards. The HST810 platform continues to evolve. HSD designed the HST810DS XL milling head for applications that require significantly higher torque and greater structural rigidity, such as machining aluminium alloys and steel components with high material removal rates.
To meet these specific requirements, the engineering team substantially upgraded the axis torque, nearly doubling it compared to the standard version. This ensures greater stability and consistent performance even under demanding cutting conditions.
HSD also redesigned the head structure using cast iron. This material choice improves damping characteristics and overall rigidity, making the unit particularly well suited to sectors like aerospace where vibration control and machining precision are critical.
These deliberate enhancements extend the platform’s application range beyond composite materials. The HST810DS XL is a robust solution for challenging metal machining processes, which retains the established integration philosophy and flexibility that OEMs require.
The HST810DS XL with its monolithic cast-iron housing weighs approximately 750 kg. The two-axis milling head series features an HSD direct drive motor. It delivers a continuous torque of 1000 Nm and a peak torque of 1800 Nm on the A-axis. The C-axis values are 970 Nm and 1800 Nm respectively. The measurement system accuracy for both axes is ±2 µm, with a positioning accuracy of ±8 µm and a repeatability of ±5 µm. The matching ES511 electric spindle with an HSK A100 tool interface delivers 63 kW (in duty type S1) and 200 Nm (S1) at a maximum speed of 13,000 rpm, with permanently greased bearings.
